Justin Timberlake is prioritizing his health following a Lyme disease diagnosis.
The 44-year-old revealed his condition in July, shortly after concluding his "Forget Tomorrow" World Tour in Istanbul on July 30th. Timberlake shared on Instagram that Lyme disease has been "relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically," explaining the nerve pain and fatigue he experienced during performances.
A source recently told PEOPLE, "Since Justin wrapped his tour over the summer, they've focused on family time. The tour was rough for everyone. Justin had fatigue, pain and was just exhausted." The source added, "After his Lyme disease diagnosis and powering through the tour, he's been focused on healing and taking care of himself. He's explored treatments and is taking it seriously."
Despite the challenges, Timberlake continued touring, stating that performing brought him happiness. The tour, which ran from April to July 2025, was marked by several health setbacks, including a back injury, bronchitis, laryngitis, and an ankle injury, leading to some canceled shows. Now, he is focused on recovery and spending quality time with his family, including his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two sons, Silas and Phineas. They have been enjoying the outdoors in Montana and Colorado, focusing on healing together.
Lyme disease, a tick-borne illness, can cause a range of symptoms, including fatigue, joint pain, and nerve issues. It often goes undiagnosed due to its varied symptoms. Most people recover with a two- to four-week course of antibiotics, though some experience prolonged symptoms. Timberlake expressed his desire to be transparent about his struggles, hoping to connect with others facing similar challenges. He stated, "I’d like to do my part to help others experiencing this disease too."
